Holiday Concert Info

Tomorrow is our big Holiday concert with North Hi Mount ES.

The concert begins at 7pm and should last about an hour or less.
The concert is being held in Texas Wesleyan University’s Martin Hall on the North East corner of Rosedale and Wesleyan Street.
GPS works well with this address: 1309 Wesleyan St, Fort Worth, TX 76105
All students will travel from AHHS after lunch Monday so they all need to be wearing their AHHS Choir T-Shirt and dark blue jeans before we board the bus.
I have a limited number of T-Shirts left.  If you still haven’t bought one – bring your money 1st thing Monday morning and I’ll see what I can do.  (If you didn’t order one – I may not have one for you, but I’ll do my best to make something work.)
Due to FWISD transportation limitations, we will be arriving at Wesleyan ridiculously early.  I plan to give students a significant portion of that extra time to study and rest.  When we are not rehearsing students are welcome to use electronic devices to help them focus on studies or rest.  Please plan on eating a late dinner AFTER the concert.  That means it is a VERY good idea to bring a snack to eat just before the concert.
We are not providing any food.  Students are encouraged to bring a snack to be eaten BEFORE the concert.  I don’t want anyone performing hungry – so PLEASE bring something to eat before the concert.  We will not be close enough to any fast food options so – PLEASE BRING FOOD.
The current schedule for the evening is as follows:
1:30 MEET in AHHS choir room to take roll
1:45 Board Bus for Wesleyan
2:00 – 3:00 Study/Rest Time at Lou’s Place on the TWU campus
3:15 – 4:30 Rehearse in Martin Hall
4:30 – 5:30 Study/Rest/Snack in Music Building or Baker Building
5:30 Rehearse logistics with North High Mount ES
6:15 Doors open for Audience
7:00 Concert Begins
8:00 Go Home (You are welcome to go home with your family.  If you need a bus back to campus – be very careful to remain in the auditorium IN THE FRONT 4 ROWS after the concert so when I announce the bus is loading – you get on it!

Booster Club Meeting – Oct 7

We will have our first official Booster Club meeting October 7th at 9:15 am next to the fountain in the Central Market Courtyard.  ALL Parents are invited to attend and have a voice in the discussion.  Please think about joining us.

Agenda items include:

  • SWACDA Membership and Audition Fee payment and approval
  • Developing a policy for aiding students with costs associated with involvement in choir
  • T-Shirt Order
  • Spring Trip Options
  • End of Year Banquet (May 18th)
  • Tax Exempt Status
